LONG PIPS PLAYERS IN THIS WEEK'S JAPAN OPEN
Fabian Akerstrom is in the qualifying groups. Kang Dongsoo is the most interesting of the seeded men's players.
The women's qualifying has Neha Aggarwal. None of the seeded women are too interesting.
Looking at the table assignments for the qualifying, it looks like no streaming for Akerstrom's matches. Aggarwal will get one match on provided they're streaming two tables.
WOMEN ON CHALLENGER SERIES NEXT WEEK
Kathrin Muehlbach Tanja Kraemer Andrea Bakula Dana Cechova Alex Galic Olga Nemes Jennifer Jonsson Jessica Goebel
OTHER NOTES
Thomas Bennborn is playing in the US Open. BTW, he has a USATT rating of 2521.
There is also an ITTF event to be run alongside the US Open. Here are the seeds:Statistics: Posted by mynamenotbob — 18 Jun 2013, 19:38

Not sure who the last pic is. I just thought it was a good photo.
This is a typical ITTF tournament. 100% Chinese players in both the mens and womens semi-finals, few spectators in the seats and zero interest from the media.
How does the ITTF plan to fix this?
Ban Joola Timeless, ban celluloid balls, increase the ball size twice and make the sport unaffordable for amateur recreational players, of course.Statistics: Posted by mynamenotbob — 16 Jun 2013, 07:34
